Avon Clearskin Professionals Liquid Extraction Strip

Hello again!

 

Sorry, I've been sort of MIA in the blogging world lately! I've just been super busy with school and on top of that I ended up getting a cold, which turned into a sinus infection. Yay. I'm still getting over the sinus infection, but I was feeling good enough to write a blog post for you all today!

 

This isn't a DIY (sorry) but it's the oldest draft I have, so i figured I'd try to get caught up!

 

I'm going to review the Avon Clearskin Professional Liquid Extraction Strip! This is a great product that I have made part of my weekly skincare routine and I love it!

 

It comes in a 1 fluid ounce squeezable tube which makes application easy! I will tell you that it tends to be a little heavy on your face, but you get used to it after a while. 

All you have to do is apply it to wherever you have a lot of blackheads and wait 20 minutes or so for it to dry and then peel it off!

 

I took some before, during, and after pictures just so you guys could get an idea of what it does!

As you can see, it's a really simple process! The only thing that's different than the pore strips you buy from the store is the fact that it doesn't actually pull the blackheads out for you to see. It does bubble up over the blackheads so you can see that it is cleaning the dirt out!

I would definitely recommend using this product one or two times a week!

Mix and Match Camouflage Nails

Hello again!

I have so many things to post that are older than this tutorial, but I have been so excited to try out these nails that I had to share them with you all!

I've been planning on doing these nails for like 6 months or more, but I could never find the perfect dark green polish. Well, my little sister finally found one and bought it for me for Christmas and I could barely contain myself!

Here is the completed look:

 

 



What you need:

• Base Coat (Avon Ridge Filling Base Coat)
• Top Coat (Seche Vite)
• Matte Top Coat (NYC)
• Gelous (Optional)
• Black Polish (Wet n' Wild Black Creme)
• Black nail art polish (optional)
• Dark green polish (Revlon Parfumerie Balsam Fir)
• Light Brown/Nude Polish (Avon Gel Finish Barely There)
• Brown Polish (Sinful Colors Nirvana)
• Small Single Chevrons (Purchase Here)
• Dotting tool

Step 1. After applying your base coat, apply a coat of your dark green polish. I only needed 1 coat.

Burgundy and Gold Fall Nails

I'm back at it again today! I have to say, I'm on fire lately! I launched the first few items in my online store, which you can check out here. I also got some new tires put on my NEW car (yes, I finally found one) and I successfully got through Christmas and new year!

 

Now, with that said and done, I realized I am really out of season with this post. But, I have to post it sooner or later, so here it is! I did these nails this fall and was in love with the colors. The leaves could use some work, but hey, at least they're cute!

 

Here is the finished look (Sorry for the terrible clean up. YIKES!)

 

 

What you need:

•  Base coat (Avon Ridge Filling Base Coat)
• Gelous
• Top Coat (Seche Vite)
• Burgundy Polish (Ulta)
• Gold Polish (Ulta)
• Dotting tool (I got mine from Avon)
• Chevron Nail Vinyls (Get them here)

**Both Ulta Polishes are unnamed. Also, I pictured a Matte topcoat but I didn't actually use it.

Step 1. Paint 4 of your nails burgundy and 1 gold.

Step 2. Paint a second coat.

Step 3. Place an oval shaped spot on your thumb with your dotting tool.

Step 4. Add a second oval on the side of the first

Step 5. Add a third oval and a line at the bottom and you have a leaf! Add 1 or 2 more leaves depending on the size of your nail!

Step 6. If desired, place different sized dots around the leaves.

Step 7. Now paint a leaf on your ring finger.

Step 8. Pick one of your burgundy nails and once fully dry, place 2 or 3 chevron vinyls on it.

**I stick them to my hand a few times first so they are less likely to peel off my polish**

Step 9. Paint a coat of your gold polish over that.

Step 10. Right after painting on your gold polish, remove the vinyls. If you have any issues with peeled polish, just touch up with a touch up brush!
