Hello Again!
I have recently joined Influenster and I am absolutely loving it so far! I joined maybe 4 days ago and I may already be receiving a VoxBox (which is a box filled with things you are expected to test out and review)!
Another opportunity I had was to write 2 Ebay guides in order to receive a $25 Ebay gift card! How awesome is that? I strongly encourage any of you who are interested in reviewing new products and earning these great incentives to try it out!
Below I will link my two guides for you to check out and hopefully you will consider joining Influenster as well!
Yarn Substitution Tutorial - This is a tutorial that walks you through which types of yarn are best for you and how to figure out which yarns you need for your projects and how to substitute yarn!
Avon Skincare Expert Techniques - This tutorial lists and explains each of Avon's ANEW lines and what aspect of aging they target!
If you want any more information on either of these subjects, feel free to comment or email me and I would be more than happy to help!
Have a great day!

Pink and Grey Nails
Hello Again!
I'm still working on catching up on my old posts, bu I have almost finished all of my drafts! It's actually a scary thought because I'm scared I will run out of things to share with you! Yikes! Hopefully I will be painting my nails tonight though, so I should have another tutorial for you in the next few days!
I did this manicure las summer I think, and I absolutely loved it and still do! It's simple and elegant!
Here is the finished look, featuring the steering wheel of my old Escape (tear):
What you need:
- Base Coat (Avon Ridge Filling Base Coat)
- Gelous
- Gray Polish (Maybelline Color Show Impeccable Greys)
- Pink Glitter Polish (Avon Stardust Crystallized Pink)
- Pink Polish (Avon Cotton Candy)
- Top Coat (Seche Vite)
- Chevron Vinyls (Vinyl Quickies Small Chevron)
After yur base coat dries, apply a coat of your pink polish on all but one of your nails (I chose the middle finger).
On the nailthat you left blank, paint a coat of your glitter polish.
Once this coat dries, apply a coat of gelous.
Now, paint a second coat of your pink polish. A second coat of the glitter is optional, depending on how opaque your first coat was.
Once that dries, apply a coat of fast dry top coat (such as seche vite) to 2 of your pink nails (I chose my pointer and ring fingers). Once the seche vite dries, apply your chevron vinyls (I only needed three, but depending on the length of your nail you may need more or less).
Once your vinyls are appled and the edges are pressed down, paint a thick coat of your gray polish over top of them.
Remove the vinyls immediately after applying your gray polish or else you will end up with a sticky, gooey, mess.
Now, apply a coat of top coat to all of your nails and let that dry. Once that is dry, apply one last coat of Gelous!
***As you can see in the picture, you may have some polish that comes off when you remove the vinyls. It shouldn't happen if you use fast dry top coat beforehand, but I did not know that trick when I did this manicure. If you don't ahve fast dry top coat, you can list take a toothpick or a small brush and touch those spots up***
As you can see, you can't even tell that I had to touch some spots up!
I hope you all enjoy this manicure as much as I do! I would love to see your recreations posted to #countryclassdiy! I am also always looking for ideas and inspiration! Comment with your ideas or contact me through email or Pinterest!

Pink Ikat Nails
Hello again!
I apologize for my lack of posts lately, but with the semester winding down I've been swamped! I just turned in my last big project today so now I just have a presentation tomorrow and exams on Wednesday and Thursday! On top of all of this, my laptop has a virus and I am now unable to use it!
With all of this going on, I haven't been able t paint my nails much. Though I have managed to finger knit a blanket and hat for a very special baby named Brielle, you can read about her and her family here.
Now, on to the tutorial! I did these nails quite a while ago and they are the oldest draft I have sitting in my posts.
What you need:
- Base Coat (Avon Ridge Filling Base Coat)
- Pink Glitter (Avon Stardust - Crystallized Pink)
- Pink Polish (Avon - Cotton Candy)
- White Polish (OPI Alpine Snow)
- Top Coat (Seche Vite)
- Black detail polish
- Gelous (Optional)
After applying your base coat and allowing it to dry, paint your ring finger with your glitter polish, your thumb white, and the other 3 fingers pink.
Paint a layer of gelous over top of this first layer once it dries.
After your gelous is dry, apply another coat to all of the nails.
Once your thumb is dry, paint 2 shapes similar to a triangle on your thumb.
now, with your detail brush, paint ragged triangular lines around these 2 shapes.
Now, apply some black strokes in the center of the triangle.
Once that has dried, apply a coat of top coat and then top it off with a coat of Gelous!
I hope you all enjoy this manicure as much as I did! I hope t be back on a regular posting schedule soon!
