Teal crackle nails

Hello again!

I'm super excited for my current DIY project to be finished so I can share it with you all! But for now, I'll share the manicure I did for my cousin's wedding in September (I'm behind, I know)!

This is a super simple mix and match manicure that you really only need a few simple things for!

Here is the finished look:

What you need:
  • Black polish(I used my Art Deco polish because I apparently don't have a regular black polish)
  • Gelous
  • Top Coat (Seche Vite)
  • Black Crackle polish (Sally Hansen Ink Splatter)
  • White Polish (OPI Alpine Snow)
  • Mint Polish (Wet n' Wild I need a refresh-mint)
  • White detailing polish/polish brush
  • Dotting tool
***See my tutorial for DIY Gel Manicure here

Step 1. Paint a layer of your base coat.

Step 2. Paint a thin layer of white on your thumb nail.

Step 3. Paint the rest of your nails with your mint color.

Step 4. Now paint one of your teal nails with your crackle polish. Also, add another coat of white if needed.

Step 5. Take your dotting tool and place dots on your thumb nail. I think I had too many, but really, it's all up to you!

Step 6. Again, using your dotting tool, place two dots at the base of your pointer and ring fingers.

Step 7. Take your white striper and place some stripes on your pinky nail.

Clean up your nails with a concealer brush, or in the shower and you're done!

Let me know what you think!

Yellow and Gold Nail Art

Hello Everyone!

I've been super busy with work and my little cousin's birthday party last weekend, but I'm finally getting around to posting a tutorial on how I created my nails from last week!

Below is the finished product:

I got my inspiration from this pin, but decided to mix it up a little bit by using yellow and gold instead of the teal and silver.

What you need:
  •  White Nail Polish (I used OPI Alpine Snow)
  • Yellow Nail Polish (I used a Sally's Brand)
  • Clear Base/Top Coat (I use Essie All-in-One)
  • Gold Nail Polish (I used one from Ulta)
  • Striping tape (To make your own go here)
  • Vaseline
  • Q-Tips

Step 1. Using a Q-Tip, put Vaseline around your nails. This is optional, but I do it to make cleanup easier.

Step 2. After allowing your base coat to dry, paint one coat of your colors. I did yellow on my thumb, middle finger, and pinky. Gold on my pointer. White on my ring.
***I did not put a white coat under my yellow, but I would suggest it so you don't have to put as many coats on***

Step 3. Continue doing 1 coat at a time until the color is opaque. I ended up doing 3 coats with my yellow, 2 with my white, and 1 with my gold.

Step 4. Take your nail striping tape and place it on your white nail to create parallell horizontal stripes. I don't like my nails too long, so I could only fit 2 stripes. If your nails are longer, just add more stripes!
***You have to make sure the polish is EXTREMELY dry. This is the hardest part for me because I am impatient, but it's the only way to avoid messing up the polish***
***Something else that helps is to stick the "tape" to your hand first to make it a bit less sticky.

Step 5. Paint one stripe yellow and one gold. If you have more than 2 stripes, just do yellow, gold, yellow. After you paint each stripe, peel the tape off immediately.

Step 6. Once your nails are fully dry, cover with your top coat and you are done!

I hope you guys love this as much as I do! Let me know your thoughts and I'd love to see recreations!

I have plenty more tutorials that I will be posting as soon as I have a chance!

Purple Rose Toe Nails

Hello Everyone!

It seems like it's been forever since I've posted something! Well, I painted my nails again and thought I'd share this cute, easy, and springy design with you!
(Sorry for my sunburnt feet!)

What you need:

  • A dotting tool
  • Green nail polish (I used Art Deco)
  • White nail polish (I used Art Deco)
  • Dark pink nail polish (I used Art Deco)
  • Light pink nail polish (I used an Ulta one)
  • Top/Base coat (I used Essie All in One)
  • Purple nail polish (I used Essie Lilacism)

Before I paint my nails, I always take Vaseline and put it around my nails for easy clean up.

Step 1. Put on your clear base coat

Step 2. Paint your base color. I use a white under this particular color because it makes it more vibrant. I used OPI's white

Step 3. Paint on the color your "main" color, in my case, Essie's Lilacism. Use as many coats as you need. I used 2.

This is just demonstrating how it looks with a second coat:

Step 4. On your big toe, use a detailing brush and white polish to make some vertical stripes.

Step 5. With the large end of your dotting tool, place some of the dark pink polish in a circle on your toe.

Step 6. With the smaller end of the dotting tool, take the light pink polish and swirl it a little.

Step 7. Take your green polish and add 2 leaves on each side of the flower.

Let it dry and put your clear top coat on then clean the edges and you're all set!

I am currently sporting this pedicure and got tons of compliments on it at work today!

Try it out and let me know how you guys do!
